First Visit
Brief Paperwork
Upon entering the office, we have some brief paperwork for you to fill out. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and your condition. If we will be utilizing insurance to support you in your chiropractic care, please bring your insurance information with you.
Consultation
Once the paperwork has been completed, you will have a consultation with the doctor to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as potential treatment options.
History and Examination
In order to determine what your actual problem is, the doctor will ask you various questions related to your condition. Next, a number of specialized tests will be performed to determine which tissues are affected and to what extent.
X-ray Studies
Your specific condition may require Dr. Kort to take X-rays of your spine or extremities. X-rays are taken at the office on a state of the art high frequency machine. Films are then processed on-site and read by Dr. Kort. X-rays are taken to rule out pathologies and to examine the spine for degeneration and other complications that may affect your treatment at our clinic.
Schedule Your Next Appointment
Generally we will schedule your second appointment within 1-2 days. The second appointment will include a comprehensive Recommended Action Plan (RAP). Dr. Kort will discuss in detail your x-ray and examination results. He will determine if you are a chiropractic candidate and if so, he will establish a treatment plan to obtain maximum results for your condition. We always suggest that you invite a close family member to attend the RAP appointment so that they will understand your results and treatment plan and more easily support you in your quest for wellness and better health.
